So still no new comic, but it doesn't mean I'm not hard at work providing new material for The Josh Effect. I've been absolutely slaving over my newest project for Josh TV so I hope that's all worth it. More on that in a sec. First I'd like to mention that we have two officially attached musicians confirmed for both Jest of the Chef and Somewhere on the Map. Who you ask? None other than Johnny Hemberger and the micro-music Mozarts, 8-Bit Weapon. You can check out both artists' tunes by clicking either of their names.

Now, what was I saying earlier? Oh, right: new Josh TV project. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you

What is Project Hi8, you ask? Well, years before The Josh Effect or Josh TV even existed, there existed a young boy with a desire to make videos. That boy was me. My first camera? A Sony Handycam CCD-TRV308 Hi8 Camcorder. With this camera I filmed many a school project and retarded home video. But alas, since the footage was filmed on analog (as opposed to digital) Hi8 tapes, I lacked the means to transfer the videos to the computer. That is until now...

With the recent acquisition of my Sony VX2000, I am able to transfer the analog Hi8 signal from the old camera into the new one, and from there into the computer. Now my old Hi8 tapes will be reviewed and hand-picked from an expansive library spanning my entire high school career. When will this project start? It starts tonight. Stay tuned, tapeworms.... -JC
