Well, I was reading my news post from the other day and wondered, "How long have I been calling my fans 'tapeworms?'" So I did some research and discovered that I began calling my readers tapeworms long before The Josh Effect existed. The first time I call my readers "tapeworms" that I can dig up appears on my old Xanga blog (which, aside from all the lame angsty teenage bullshit, is an interesting read).
So why tapeworms? What significance do they play in the Joshiverse? By definition, we have:
tape-worm n. Any of various ribbonlike, often very long flatworms of the class Cestoda, that lack an alimentary canal and are parasitic in the intestines of vertebrates, including humans.
So basically, I think of my fans as intestinal parasites eating away at my nutrient (that nutrient being "creativity" *thumbs up*).
Well, the Rory's Death Kiss deadline is up, which means I'm hard at work building the page for it in the Photo Album. I'll let you all know once it's up. 'Til then, tapeworms....
